Random Cute Pics

There is not really a blog to go with these, but I was looking on my camera and there are some really random cute pictures of Henry. Thought I would share...

This is how he fell asleep one afternoon. Don't worry I moved him right away.

I think he's sticking his tongue out at me!

He loves his new car!

I'm ready for the beach Mom, but where is it?

New Do

Henry got his first haircut this past weekend. Jeff did the honors and the mullet is gone...well almost. We were afraid to cut it too short. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but it does look a lot better. Who knew Jeff was such a good barber (cheap is probably a better word than barber).

Happy Birthday, Henry!!

Henry's birthday party was this weekend, and I can honestly say it was the best party I have been to. He had a great time, and was everyone's entertainment. I was worried about him being cranky, but he got a good nap in before and was ready to party! I think he did exactly what was expected of him when it came time to eat the cake. I gave him a cupcake, and the first thing he did was crush it in both hands. After that it was all over. Handful after handful, he managed to finish off every bit of it! He was such a good sport about wearing his party hat too! My sister made it, and she did such a good job!! I told her she should start selling them, so if anyone is interested, let me know! Henry was blessed with so many gifts we need a bigger house! We are so grateful for family that traveled all the way here to help us celebrate this special day! Thanks for a great first birthday! How will we top this next year? Enjoy the pictures!

Henry's 1st birthday cake, and yes I made it. Aren't you impressed!

We made it through our first year together!

Digging into the cake!

Can we have this for snack everyday, Mom?

So excited to open presents...

Worn out and very dirty=A Good Time!

I added these last two pictures just for Aunt Leslie! Henry loves his picnic table, and Jeff did a great job of putting it together! Thanks again!!

I know I got a little carried away on this blog, but I just wanted you to be in the moment! Our little man is ONE!

Birthday Boy!!

Henry is 1 today!! Where has the time gone! We had a great day today and the weather was perfect! We started our day with his 1 year check-up. I know I'm an awful mom making him get shots on his birthday, but he had a purple gum and I was worried. The check-up went well! Henry is growing like a weed, and the doctor said he should get his top two teeth any day! (By the way the purple gum is normal- no worries!)They do think he has an allergy to milk, but they just think his body is not ready for the proteins in milk and that he won't always be allergic to it. So we've gone without milk for two weeks, and we'll try it again. If he still reacts we will have to give him Soy milk for a while. Sorry I went off on that... After the check-up we came home and decided to enjoy the day outside and go for a 3 mile run. It was so nice! After Henry's lunch and nap I decided to take him to the Creative Cookie Company to get his 1st real cookie! If he was going to get a cookie we might as well go all out, right? Weird thing was, he didn't really care to much for it (He was however, into the rubber tires that lined the playground- I think he tried to put all of those in his mouth!) We spent the rest of the day at the playground! He loved the sandbox and made lots of new friends! We can't wait for his family birthday party this weekend. We'll let you know how it goes...Happy Birthday Henry! We love you!

I'm 1 today!!

Daddy came home for lunch to see me on my birthday!

My birthday cookie! The cake will come Saturday...

Eating my cookie at the playground.

Playing in the sandbox.

I couldn't help myself with this last picture. We were in his room reading and I heard Jeff's truck pull up and I said I think Da is here. Henry dropped the book, ran out of the room, and looked out the window by front door screaming Da. He loves his Daddy!

And then there were two...

No I am not pregnant, but I have started a new little job on the side. This week I have started watching a 4 1/2 month old girl named Kylee. It is 3 days a week (Mon, Tues, and Fri.)and this Monday and Tuesday were my first days. Kylee's parents go to our church and they were in a bind and needed someone to watch her. Meanwhile, we were looking for something for me to do in a way where I could still stay home with Henry. God is Good!! Anyway, I know it has only been two days, but it is perfect. Henry is such a big boy and is helping to entertain her. She loves watching him, and so far they are even on the same nap schedule! Now I know why people have more than one kid. This may sound weird, and I'm not saying it's not work because it is, but it's almost easier with two. They compliment each other well! This may make me crazy, but a woman also called me this week trying to find someone to keep her daughter when she goes back to work from maternity leave. She is only looking for two days and is flexible, and I happen to have two days open. I am willing, but we will see what the Lord has planned for us. One thing I have learned in the last few months is that the Lord DOES provide, and His plan is PERFECT. I'll keep you updated on whether or not I take on another one! Here are some pictures of Henry and Kylee!

Such a help!

He's going to make such a good big brother...One day!

Sumter

We went to Sumter this past weekend for Dede's (Jeff's dad)60th birthday! We had a great time! There are always many good stories told, some more exaggerated than others... Henry had a good time playing with his cousin, Carter. This was the first time that I got to see them interact, and Carter even got sad when Henry had to go to bed...so cute! (sorry I forgot to take pictures!)

We also made a trip to Swan Lake on Sat. with Nana and Gigi. The weather was perfect and it was so nice to be outdoors. I will have to say that the geese were a little scary though. My mom brought bread so that was a good distraction, but when you feed them they continue to chase you! The playground was a nice getaway and Henry is starting to enjoy the swings and the slide!
