H-E-N-R-Y

Henry has done a good job of repeating things when you ask him, like animal sounds and colors. Randomly tonight after his bath, I was spelling his name and he copied me. Thought it would be impossible to get on tape, but here it is... We couldn't be prouder!!

Beach Baby

We went to Isle of Palms this weekend to stay with some of our friends from school and their two boys Kam(2 1/2) and Brooks (5 months). As you know the weather was not what I expected. We did get there in time to enjoy the overcast afternoon after lunch. The last time Henry was at the beach (at the end of last summer) he was just starting to crawl, and loved digging his fingers in the dirt and of course then sticking them in his mouth. This was like a whole new experience for him. Once I put him down on the sand, he immediately started running. I don't think he had a destination, he just loved the way the sand felt on his feet, and the room he had to just run! When he did find the wading pools he wanted to sit and splash and pick up the wet sand, but mostly he was happy running. What a great way for us to get exercise and get out our energy! Watch out summer!

So much territory to cover!

Man on the move!

Hair blowing in the wind

Henry's new favorite thing is to look upside down between his legs. I'm waiting for him to do a flip, but he hasn't yet...

My first footprint on the beach

Kam was content to just sit and play trucks while Henry ran his laps

Taking a bath with my buddy after our day on the beach. Kam calls Henry "my friend" too which was cute. He would say come here friend, or where is my friend? So cute!

Loving the beach!

Thanks Kert, Darcie, Kam, and Brooks!

Promised Updates

Our deck is finished, and I don't know how we have lived without it. It's almost like we added on another room to our house. We have it built up to our house with gates on either side, and it's perfect for Henry and Lake. For those of you that are wondering why we decided to this- our backyard is a steep hill, great for sledding down in the snow, but not so much in Bluffton. So we figured the deck would give Henry somewhere to play, Lake somewhere to hang out during the day- and oh yeah for Jeff and me to use too! We have since added a hammock to it that you won't see in the pictures and it has been a perfect place to take Sunday afternoon naps! You will see from the pictures that Henry has taken up a new hobby- sweeping! He loves it, and I say more power to him! He can sweep as long he wants!

Too cute to pass up!

Who knew sweeping could be so much fun?

I know this is sideways- no comments please!

Other news... Heather and I had a great time this weekend- joining friends for a girls' night out Friday night and venturing to Savannah with Henry on Saturday. Perfect weather, and a great time catching up!! Sorry we were slack and didn't take pictures!

Henry's cousin Tilly was born Friday morning. She weighed in at 9.2, 21 inches, and has red hair! We can't wait to meet her!!

Kylee's been sick so we won't be watching her this week. We are very sad that she is sick, but it has given Henry and me a chance to get out and do some of our old activities again- two playgroups, mom's on the run, and reading group at the library. We are having fun, but we do miss our buddy, Kylee! Get better!

New Adventures...
A getaway to Isle of Palms this weekend with the baby and the dog. We'll let you know if we make it back in one piece! Supposed to be great beach weather!

St. Patty's Day

Sunday we went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Hilton Head. We met some friends there and tailgated before. The weather was great and the kids had a blast! Henry was worn out after it was all over!

Henry drove his own car to the parade!

Henry and his friend, Perry. Catie was there too, but it's so hard to get a picture of more than 2 kids together.

The beads were a hit!

Mommy and Henry enjoying the parade.

Exhausted to say the least!

Upcoming events for the Jones'...
We just got a deck built on the back of our house. Should be finished today! Pictures to come!

Heather is coming to visit this weekend from Greenville!

Henry's cousin will be born this Friday (if not sooner!) Matilda Frances Edwards (Tilly)
