Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend Jeff's family was in town and while the boys went to shoot skeet, the girls went to the pumpkin patch in Ridgeland. Henry and I went there last year with our friends Amanda and Harper. They had added a lot more this year, and Henry really enjoyed it now that he's so mobile. It was a little chilly, but perfect weather for a fall outing. Henry loved the animals, football throw, and especially the tractor ride where he got to pick out his own pumpkin. He kept saying Henny's pumptin. Once again we took way too many pictures! I am so glad Mimi and Katie got to share this experience with us. We had a great time!

Mom's Night Out- A little late

Good thing I got this one in before the next MNO. This was our 3rd planned Mom's Night Out. We decided to go to a restaurant in Hilton Head called Eat! This restaurant is owned by Robert Irvine who is a chef on the Food Network and I believe is on a show called Dinner Impossible on that channel as well. Anyway, he was there and was extremely nice to us, nice enough even to take a picture! We had a great time! Thanks Amanda for always having your camera!

Henry-Isms

Some funny new favorites of Henry's...
-Body slams: He loves when you throw him on the bed. Everytime he walks in our room, he says body slam, body slam.

-Henry and Mary Kate were hugging the other day, and Henry said "Aw, sweet" I wonder how many time he hears that.

-He loves showing ownership. Everything he sees he has to tell whose it is. Mama's car, Lake's food, Da's watch. Henny's (that's what he calls himself) book.

-When you ask him where something is he shakes his head and says "I don't know"

-Whenever he's upset, I always say what happened, so now he says "what happened" all the time.

-He likes to say "See it" when he wants you to look at something.

-"Hold it" is another favorite. Usually it's something really messy, and not a good idea.

I know everyone is not quite as interested in all of this as I am, but he's been changing so much lately and it has been very entertaining!

Ok, I just had to share this. I got a great deal on this outfit, and just had to try it on him. He is already giving me one of those Mom, please don't do this faces, but doesn't he look so cute?

A Day At The Beach

Last Wednesday I had the day off and Henry and I had a Mommy-Henry day all to ourselves. We had the best time at the beach. It was a little overcast, but it made it even more perfect. We walked down the beach and collected seashells, played with our trucks in the sand, and splashed our feet in the water. Even Henry put his feet in the water and said "cold water." We met Jeff for lunch at Chick-fil-A and Henry got to play on the indoor play area. He could go up and play and come down the slide all by himself. It was really nice just to supervise, but it also reminds me of how fast he's growing up and how independent he is. It was a great day!

Happy 5th Anniversary

October 2nd was our 5th anniversary. My mom came to watch Henry and Jeff and I headed to Surfside to spend the weekend doing whatever we wanted. We found a place we've never been- and loved, The Market Common. We shopped, ate at great restaurants, and RELAXED! It was a great weekend, and a perfect way to spend our anniversary!
