MOPS Halloween Party

We have had a great fall so far visiting pumpkin patches and getting ready for Halloween. This afternoon, our MOPS group met at the park for a Halloween Party complete with costumes, food, and games. The kids had a blast, and so did the mommys!

My little cowboy did not want to have his picture made

Painting pumpkins with Carter

Clay loved playing with the pumpkins

The "I want something look" from Nolan

My sweet neice, Karsen the butterfly

My sis-in-law Katie with Karsen and me and Clay (still can't believe they will be in the same class in school. No one will mess with this sweet girl!)

Tunnel Fun

I remembered we had these tunnels in the shed, and decided to get them out. Henry got these for his first birthday, and loved them. As soon as I put them together, Clay went crazy. He was so excited. Henry did a good job entertaining him, and they both had a great time.

Boys Will Be Boys

Last Saturday, Jeff ran the MudRun in Columbia. One of my friends was also running in it and she needed some one to watch her son, Sawyer. Henry and Sawyer meet last spring at the park, took swimming lessons together, and the rest is history. Sawyer lives around the corner from us and is Henry's special buddy. They get along great, and love to do all things boy! We picked up a picnic lunch from Chick-fil-a and played at the park, followed by lots of play in the backyard. You would think by the end of the day they would be tired of each other. Nope, they hid so he wouldn't have to go home. Sweet, dirty, boys. There's nothing better!
Oh, and Jeff did great too! Hopefully next year I'll be able to run too!

This one got to play in the dirt too, and

loved it!

Who needs a walker when you have a dump truck!

So Big!

This weather has allowed us many afternoons at the park. Clay loves the swings, and it gives mommy's arms a little break. I can't believe this little one is almost one, and how fast he's changing into such a little man!

Look at all my teeth! 4 on top, 3 on bottom, and still cutting...

A Great Day at the Zoo

A couple of weeks ago we ventured to the zoo to meet up with some friends from Bluffton. The weather was PERFECT, and the kids were great! We ended up staying all day and it was so nice to catch up with old friends! Thanks guys and can't wait to do it again!

These 3 have definitely grown up in the last year!

We rode the train,

fed the goats,

fed the giraffes,

rode the pony,

fed the birds,

rode the carousel,

played hide and seek,

and took lots of pictures!

This little cutie stayed in the stroller most of the time, but still loved every minute of it!

A Trip to Beaufort

The boys and I ventured to Beaufort in September to spend the day with one of my good friends, Kate. Kate has two girls and is pregnant with her third girl due in February. We had a great time visiting while the kids played. It even happened to be her birthday! I am so thankful for great friends! This picture was just too funny not to post, and the best one I could get of the four of them! Their faces crack me up!

Henry's First Fish

I promised this a while ago. Jeff took Henry on his first fishing trip at good ol Pack's Landing in a Jones boat that did not break down! I asked Henry what kind of fish he caught and he said it was a Fikey (spikey) fish. Jeff said the picture is deceiving. He did not like the fish and did not want to hold it because it was fikey. I'm sure this will change if he's anything like his dad.

Scavenger Hunt

About a month ago, we took the boys to Poinsett Park. It's more of a camping spot/nature walk than a playground park, but Jeff and I had both been as kids and we thought it would be fun to take them there. There's not a whole lot to do, so we thought it would be fun to make up a scavenger hunt of things Henry had to find. We came up with a list of 12 things, and if he found all of them his surprise was a Baker's Sweets cookie. Who wouldn't work for that! Well we found all of them including things that weren't on the list. Like snakes... Other than that, it was a great day!

I think they're dreaming of catching fish in this pond

sweet boy hardly sits still to pose for me, but sometimes I get these...

we found random bugs

pretty berries

and this guy that Henry and Jeff actually went to look for after some people said they saw it crawl in the woods. They said it wasn't big, but it was big enough for me!

Brotherly Love

AKA Wrestle Mania. Henry and Clay love to wrestle. All.the.time. Henry loves to get in his face, pick him, roll over him, etc. And you know what? Clay thinks it's great. Sometimes it will get a little out of hand, but for the most part, they are loving it. What's a mom to do!

Sweet Clay (10 and 11 months)

Sweet Clay,

Mommy and Daddy have not forgotten about you. It seems like this last year has been a whirlwind with you here. You definitely keep us on our toes, and when we aren't spending every minute laughing with you, or talking about how great you are, we are resting so we can do it all over again!

Happy 11 months and belated 10 months! I will say I did take 10 month pictures, but did not quite make the post.

What are you doing these days? You are still the happiest, easiest going baby. You are nursing three times a day, and eating three meals along with snacks after naptimes. You are a fast mover on all fours and are standing and cruising the furniture. You have tried climbing on the fireplace, but we are trying to steer away from the climbing as long as possible. You put everything in your mouth! I can't count how many times I check in there to see what you're chewing. You aren't a big talker yet, but you make lots of noise. You say mama, dada, lala, oh. You wave bye bye, you growl when you pick up dinosaurs, and push cars around (I wonder who taught you that!) You love your brother, and need to be near/touching at all times. He gets really rough with you, but you think it's all part of the game. You think he is the funniest (and he loves that!) I can already tell that there is a strong bond between the two of you and it makes my heart happy. I know this has been said before, but we don't know what we did before we had you in our family. We love you, sweet boy! I can't believe in exactly one month you will be a year old!
