First Day of School

Henry started school the day after Labor Day. He goes to the same school three days a week from 9-12. Once again, he walked right into his class calling for me to hurry up behind him. I thought he would be confused about not going to his old class, but he told me today that he was too old for that class now. How is he growing up so fast? He has been adjusting well to his new class, and has 8 of his old friends from last year in there. We are so thankful!

By the time we actually got to school, Henry had the "mom, no more pictures" look

more excited about his new tennis shoes than the first day of school

so grown up

and quite the model...

ready or not 3's here we come!

Labor Day Weekend

Life happens a lot faster than I can post! We had a great Labor Day weekend complete with a trip to the zoo, grilling out, and Henry having his first boat fishing experience with Jeff. It was perfect and lots of memories were made!

On the way!

Henry wanted to take a picture on every statue's head

you can't leave without riding the ponies

this lion reminded us of Lake

you're never too old to ride the carosel

attempt at a family photo

Henry wanted to take these leaves home because he thought they looked like elephant ears

this is what Clay did the whole time

these goats never got full

Henry was so excited to go fishing with his daddy! Picture of fish to follow!

Spotlight on Henry

I saw this on another blog and thought it was cute. A mom asked her son these survey questions and wrote down his answers. I was really impressed with how willing and quick Henry answered each question. There was no "I don't know's" or long pauses. What can I say, the boys knows what he likes. Here is our spiderman at 3 1/2. I'm interested to see how these answers change, but am loving his sweet answers now...

Spotlight on Clay- 9 months

Sweet Clay,
Mommy has not forgotten you have turned 9 months and are closer to 10 now. You just keep me on my toes!

You have the best smile and it's not just me, it's the first thing everyone notices. That and your "healthy" appearance. Mommy takes you everywhere and I just noticed that you hang on to my arm with your arm locked around it and when you start scooting down, you push yourself up with both legs. Quite the monkey who is always on my hip!

You love, love, love your brother and laugh at him constantly even when he is wrestling you a little too rough.

You are cutting teeth 5 and 6 right now, but don't seem too bothered. You are eating all solids along with baby oatmeal, and nurse 4 times a day. You take two naps that are usually an hour to an hour and a half a piece (following in your brother's sleep habits).

Your 9 month check-up was last Friday and it's confirmed, you're perfect! We love you so much, and you keep us laughing and smiling everyday!

Here are your 9 month stats...

Weight- 23.10 lbs. 90% (The dr. is glad this is a little lower :))
Height- 30 3/4" 97%
Head- 18" 50%
