Busy Busy
Sorry! I promise I have not left the blogging world now that we're in Sumter, and no I did not forgot my sweet Henry's second birthday! We have been so busy with parties, going back and forth, cleaning, and Henry and I both getting sick that I just haven't had the time or energy! Oh, and our camera cord is packed up and we're trying to remember where we put it! Henry had a great party with perfect weather and the pictures we got were priceless. He is doing great adjusting to being in a different place and a new bigger bed! I don't want to write too much because the pictures will speak for themselves. I promise I'll get them up soon!

Last Mom's Night Out
Ginger was nice enough to organize this month's girls' night out as a little get together for my going away. It was great! We ate at Hugo's and went to Bluffton Live for some live music. I had the best time and it was so nice of everyone to come and celebrate/send me off. They gave me the sweetest card that I've already read over and over and a picture of all of us at a former girls' night out. I will definetly miss the Bluffton girls, but we have already made upcoming arrangements to get together soon! Love you guys!!

Roundhouse Railroad Museum
This weekend, we visited the Railroad Museum in Savannah. Great idea, but I didn't realize that most, ok all of the attractions were outside, so it was freezing to say the least. That didn't stop Henry from having a great time! We got to ride on a diesel engine that turned on a roundabout and rode around the grounds, we toured old blacksmith rooms where they worked on the trains, and we saw a huge model train behind glass that Henry was upset he couldn't play with. Henry even left with a Happy Birthday, Thomas book that I think both Jeff and I can recite by heart now. It was a great day, but I do recommend going in the spring or summer!

Snow Gear
This weekend Henry experienced his first snow. We were out eating dinner and when we left the restaurant there it was. Henry tried to capture it in his hand to take it with us. When we got home, all he wanted to do was play, but we promised that we would do it first thing in the morning. So that is what we did. With most of our stuffed packed, we had to make do with what we had. What South Carolinian has snow gear anyway?

What you really need to go in the snow: pajamas, rain boots, a coat, socks for gloves, and daddy's hat!

I can't see, mom.
Much better

Don't be jealous
I had a great picture of Henry and Jeff taking a nap together shortly after this, but I couldn't get the picture to stay flipped.
All in all, it was a great day except we missed G.G's birthday in Sumter. Happy Birthday G.G. We love you and we're sorry we weren't able to make it!

Bitter Sweet
As some of you may know we are moving back to Sumter. In fact Jeff starts his new job March 1st. We have been blessed with a great opportunity! Jeff will be a salesman for a heavy machinery auctioneer company called Ritchie Brothers. His territory will be the midlands of South Carolina. We always knew we would move back one day, and this job opportunity opened the doors for us. We are so excited to be close to both of our families, and for Henry to grow up with his cousins!
We will miss Bluffton and our friends and church family here! We moved here after being married for 6 months so this is home to us. We had Henry here and he has grown up knowing the best friends a boy could have- even if most of them are girls! We are so thankful for the time we had here and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. We both have grown so much here as individuals, a couple, parents, and in our walk with Christ. We will forever be thankful!

A Boy's Dream
Last weekend we took Henry to the Bass Pro Shop in Savannah- Jeff's idea of a perfect Saturday morning! He loved it! He was very interested in all of the "stuffed" animals and the fish aquariums. But most of all, he just liked the freedom of walking. He would much rather walk and hold your hand (sometimes) than ride in the stroller. For now, there is no whining to pick him up because he's tired, he is content doing it himself! He also had his first ride on a carousel at the mall. This was a little scary. He wasn't scared at all, it was me. I don't know if all carousels go this fast, but I'm sure glad we didn't eat lunch first! We ended our day by getting some rain boots for Henry- wouldn't you know it has been raining for weeks and since we got the boots not a drop in sight. That didn't stop him from wearing them to church the next day!
Rick and Katie were in town and we had a great time hanging out with them. Rick ran a half marathon while he was here and came in 1st in his age group! Henry woke up Monday morning and said where's rick and katie, mama?
Sorry no pictures, I need to learn to keep the camera in the bag!
