Recent Happenings

Looking through pictures on the camera always reminds me how long it's been since I've blogged. I thought I would try to catch up before the holiday weekend.

Henry has loved our tree up, and helps me water it every night. He does like to pull on the ornaments until they come off and then act like it was an accident so he can have an excuse to try and put them on again. We did a little photo shoot with some pj's Aunt Leslie gave us last year. He kind've looks like an old man and I'm sure he'll kill me later, but I couldn't resist!

Jeff and I were in the mood for oysters a couple of weeks ago and decided to have our own oyster roast in the garage after Henry went to bed one night. I am embarrassed to say how many oysters the two of us were able to finish off, but I will say it was one of the best oyster roasts I have been to. We had a blast!

Some things we've done recently that I unfortunately did not capture pictures of was singing Chrismas carols to a local retirement home, and delivering food and gifts to Community First in downtown Bluffton. It was so nice to show Henry how to give back to others, and they loved having him as entertainment. He has such a gift of making people smile and laugh!

We are celebrating our Christmas tonight as a family and heading to Sumter tomorrow to be with the rest of our family.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Henry thought the lights were candles and he wanted to blow them out.

It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas!

These are for my mother-in-law. I just love putting up Christmas decorations. The house always feel empty when we take them down. I wish we could leave them up all year! We picked out the first tree we saw, and realized when we got home it was not going to fall and was going to stay really tall and skinny- like my two favorite people (Jeff and Henry incase you didn't get it)

I spent my day with these 4 munchkins. Can you say BUSY! By the way, they are not looking to escape, our dog Lake is outside.

Bluffton Christmas Parade

There is nothing like it! If there's one thing Bluffton can do is throw a parade. We started our morning by attending a pre-parade party at the Colvin's. It was a great way to start the festivities! The company and food were both wonderful!

Last year Henry sat mostly in a stroller and then we let him crawl around a little afterwards. I was a little worried this year because he doesn't know what it means to sit still. He was perfect. He found a seat- not ours mind you, but someone who chose to bring one and I guess not sit in it. Anyways he sat in this seat the entire time. He did get up to catch candy, ask me to open it, and sit in the chair again. The boy does not eat sugar, so 3 dum dums and a candy cane later we had a really hyper boy!

It was a great time, and a perfect way to kick off the holiday season!

Oh, did I mention they were giving out real baseballs at the parade. I think they did this just for Henry!
